| Coordinator This position is responsible for the coordination of a violence prevention plan for the Clarenville/Bonavista area. The coordinator will support community involvement in various violence prevention initiatives, and provide a leadership role in long term planning, public awareness, education and research and policy development. The coordinators role will include developing and delivering presentations, networking with community stakeholders and organizations, and writing action plans. Duties will also include general bookkeeping, payroll and remittance responsibilities. Qualifications: A degree in behavioural/social sciences or business degree, with experience in community development and financial management; knowledge and sensitivity regarding the dynamics and impact of violence; an ability to work independently; excellent communication and analytical skills and strong computer skills. This position will require flexible working hours. As there will be travel within the region, use of a private automobile will be required. In addition, due to the nature of this position, a security screening will be required.
